During the second to last week of June the first ever Actibumps on Iceland were installed. In Ólafsvík, to the north-west of Reykjavik, to be precise. The installation was made next to a school where a lot of tourist buses and other heavy vehicles pass. It is also positioned in a slope so a lot of people are speeding down the hill. A new zebra crossing was built and next to it Vegagerðin – the Icelandic Road and Costal Administration – decided to install an Actibump system.
An increadibly beautiful site!
